Ivy Educators Service (IES) is The Ivy Bookshop’s Educator Book Service, a program for teachers, school administrators and school librarians. The Ivy Bookshop’s dedicated support team works personally with partnering schools to select and order books at attractive discounts, and to ensure prompt and accurate fulfillment of all orders. We provide a single source for book purchases across major publishers and university and specialty presses.

Ivy Educator Service (IES) offers the following benefits:

  • Order and buy books in quantity at a substantial discount.
  • Have orders delivered directly to the school or designated site.
  • Receive advance notice about possible author event opportunities.

Our IES outreach staff can assist with scheduling writers’ visits to your school and handling the corresponding book purchases for your students. Our publisher relationships often allow us to bring authors with new books to schools at little or no cost.

The Ivy has a long history of supporting teachers, administrators, students and parents in Baltimore schools. We participate in literacy outreach programs, including the PEN/Faulkner Foundation’s Writers in Schools program. In 2015, we received a grant from author James Patterson to expand our literacy outreach programs, which allowed us to bring awardwinning children’s authors together with public school students in our community.

To explore how IES can help further your programming objectives, please call Ann Berlin at 410 3772966. You can also reach us at info@nulltheivybookshop.com.

When we were still in college together back in the 1970’s, Gina began to write, I began working in bookstores as a bookseller. Over the years, as we raised our kids, I became a publisher sales representative, then sales director, bookstore co-owner (with Gina), then VP of sales for a major publisher. Kids all grown, I left the corporate world, and became a literary agent. Gina has published over thirty books, I’ve lost count on the number of books I have sold and represented. Of all the works we have been associated, nothing makes us more proud than the collaboration with our daughter, Bree.
